Sooty Welsh is an accomplished wood carver and didgeridoo maker. He has a long term passion for working with Australian native timbers and has been perfecting his skills since his teens.

Sooty’s attention to detail is extraordinary. His timber is carefully handpicked from selected trees in an environmentally sustainable manner and his carving and finishing is second to none. He is also an accomplished painter and his decorated carvings are rare and beautiful artworks.

Sooty is available to give traditional woodcarving and weapon making demonstrations.
